Our online service, cu@home, is secure
In addition to requiring user id and a strong password (one that contains upper and lower case letters, numbers and or symbols) cu@home isprotected through the use of Secured Socket Layers, or SSL. SSL is an encryption technique used by many web sites to ensure that the data cannot be viewed by others when transmitting data from your computer (called the “web browser”) to our computer (called “the web server”). This includes your username, password, account numbers, and balances. Everything that you enter or see on the website is encrypted.
128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology is required to proceed with Bill Pay. This provides a higher level of encryption to ensure that the data sent to and from the bill pay website is unattainable by an outside source.
